Atlanta, Fri. 11/16: Go see Nathan Angelo at Smith’s Olde Bar! If you’re a fan of soulful piano rock, this show will be your kind of party. As a local Atlanta resident, Nathan has a nice following and the shows are always packed (so get your tickets early). And don’t miss the openers, fellow Atlanta soul-rockers The Well Reds and singer/songwriter Chris Cauley!
Atlanta, Tue. 10/9: Go see Jack White at The Fox Theatre! In my opinion, Jack White can do know wrong (except for that ICP thing)… but in fact, anything he is involved with is nothing less than amazing. I’ve only seen him live once, but seeing him and The Raconteurs play “Blue Veins” at The Tabernacle last year was the single best performance I’ve ever seen live. Needless to say, I’m looking forward to this show…
Atlanta, Fri. 10/5: Go see the Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra at The Goat Farm Arts Center! Another artist from Daptone Records, Antibalas is back with their 5th studio album, self-titled Antibalas. This Brookly-based band has toured the world over and and even arranged and performed music for the Broadway musical, Fela! If you want to experience live jazz and funk mixed with Cuban and West African drum beats, join us! I’ll be the guy down front dancing like a fool…
Atlanta, Thu. 10/11: Go see Ryan Bingham at Variety Playhouse! Bingham just released his 4th studio album, Tomorowland, and after seeing him in Atlanta back in March of 2011, I can say that you do NOT want to miss the energy of his live show!
Atlanta, Fri. 10/19: Go see Bronze Radio Return at Vinyl! Last year, this Hartford, Connecticut indie rock band released their 2nd studio album, Shake! Shake! Shake! and it has stayed at the top of my playlist ever since. Unfortunately, I missed their show in Atlanta this past February. This show will not be missed…
